One night, 40 partner universities and lots of opportunities
For the fifth time the “Night Abroad” took place and students from AW 2 and AW 3 had the chance to inform themselves about a variety of study opportunities abroad. Exchange students in collaboration with German students, just coming back from their semester abroad, presented “their“ university in great detail. Curious students got first-hand information under the Swedish flag or while eating Nachos prepared by Mexican students. “Already before going to the night abroad I made up my mind whether I should go to an English speaking country or rather go to “un país hispanohablante. That´s why I already knew from which countries I want to have more information”, said Katja Speer. “After this helpful event I´ve eventually chosen my two favorite partner universities.”
Not only visitors enjoyed the multicultural “Night Abroad”, but also the representatives of each partner university had fun while answering questions and talking about their unforgettable experiences. “Making a Power Point Presentation with the German students who were in Swansea and having the opportunity to show students new possibilities was a great experience and very good fun!”, said Mike, an exchange student from UK. “I have a good feeling that I´ve convinced some people to do their semester abroad at my university!” After the event lots of doubts about where to go had vanished and the “Night Abroad“ is again an example for student´s commitment, their internationality and the ESB Spirit!
