The degree programme lasts eight semesters. You will complete the first two and the fourth and fifth semester at Reutlingen University. The lectures in the first year are held in English. During the third and sixth semester you will complete an internship in an international enterprise. The last year of studies is spent at a university abroad. You will also write your bachelor’s thesis there.
Intention
The IB programme is an academic programme which prepares students for a successful management career in an international enterprise.
Contents
The programme is divided into three focuses:
- International Business
Quantitative methods, economics, law, finance, taxes, management, marketing, interdisciplinary, economic analysis and studies - International orientation and Practical experience
Active participation in project work, presentations, studies, languages, internship, study abroad, ability to work in an intercultural team - Key qualifications
Method and social competence, personality development, methodical feedback, ability to communicate and work in a team.
Languages
Business English is the first compulsory foreign language. German students then choose between Spanish or French as a second compulsory foreign language, for international students German is the second foreign language. Moreover, courses in additional foreign languages can be taken (Russian, Spanish, French or Italian) but a fee will be charged for those. In the first and second semester the language of instruction is English. Knowledge of German is not a prerequisite for studying.
