Working as an industrial engineer
The world of logistics includes all processes from the procurement of goods (e.g. for the manufacturing of cars) to manufacturing itself, distribution and therefore the delivery of goods to customers, as well as the transport this requires.
An international logistics manager is fluent in English, interculturally competent and moves with confidence and respect in an international business environment. As a manager, he or she analyses business processes, plans with foresight and pays attention to technical details, whilst still keeping an eye on finances and risks at the same time. As an engineer, he or she is able to understand technical structures, to plan dynamic processes from a technical point of view and to continually optimise, synchronise and link them sequentially.
The logistics industry
A graduate of International Logistics Management works in a field where German companies enjoy an excellent reputation throughout the world – in 2010 Germany was ranked No. 1 in logistics in the “Connecting to Compete” survey conducted by the World Bank. Logistics managers trained in Germany therefore have excellent chances in the global job market.

"This programme prepares our students comprehensively and thoroughly for an international career in industry, trade or consulting. It combines technical and business administration aspects and the two majors (logistics networks and logistics technologies) strike up an excellent balance between technology and business administration, in consequence, our graduates are much sought after on the job market. If you are looking for interesting and diverse challenges, you have come to the right place. We are looking forward to you.”
