Production and Logistics Management - International Exchange Programmes
We are delighted at your interest in our International Exchange Programmes! These programmes are designed for students from outside Germany who wish to spend part of their degree at ESB Business School, earning credits to transfer back to their home university.
At ESB Business School, we have a long tradition of welcoming students from abroad. In fact, international students make up approximately one third of the faculty’s total student body.
In this section prospective exchange students will find all the vital information for arranging their study visit.
Moreover, we have compiled a guide to give you some practical information about your period of study as an exchange student at ESB Business School: Guide for exchange students
The fact sheet about Business Engineering at ESB Business School is available at: Fact sheet Operations Management

The Academic Calendar of our university is available here.
Accommodation
Finding accommodation is one of the most important steps when going abroad. It is crucial to apply for a room as soon as possible. You can either apply for a room at one of the student residences in Reutlingen or search for a room on the open market.
Unfortunately, we cannot reserve a dormitory room for you because the student halls of residence are not part of the university administration.
You will therefore need to apply for a room at each housing association which runs the halls. We advise you to apply to all of the housing associations.
You will find more information about the different halls of residence as well as the application forms and deadlines for each one in the following document Accomodation in Reutlingen
as well as at: http://www.reutlingen-university.de/en/international/incoming-students/information-from-a-z/accommodation.html
Please note that the application deadline for most student residences is
- in December for the summer semester
- and in June for the winter semester
Courses
Exchange students mainly select courses from the following programmes:
- BSc International Logistics Management or Production Management (3.5‐year programme)
- MSc Logistics Management or Production Management (2‐year programme)
Before contacting us, first seek the advice of the Exchange Coordinator at your home institution about the courses offered at ESB Business School, grade/credit requirements and course choice.
Please note: it is important that you send us a list of the courses you would like to take during your exchange semester before you come here by choosing from the list of courses mentioned below. If you have difficulties in finding a corresponding course, send us a list of the courses you require and we will assist you in selecting.
We will give you information about course availability and timetables. However, please be aware that this is sometimes subject to change.
Before lectures begin, you will be invited to a mandatory Welcome Session with our International Relations Officer, Academic Coordinator as well as with your “buddy-students”. The purpose of this meeting, besides offering an opportunity to get to know one another, is to finalize your course selection and timetable.
