German-French programme (IPBS)

Students who choose the German-French programme study half of their time at Centre d’Etudes Supérieures Eropéennes (CESEM) at Reims Management School in France and half at ESB Business School in Reutlingen. Whether the first half is spent at ESB Business School or in France depends on the personal preferences of the applicant and on their command of French.  Students do a work placement in their third and sixth semesters in the country in which they are studying at that time.

1st semester Country 1
2nd semester Country 1
3rd semester Work placement country 1
4th semester Country 1
Summer Voluntary internship
5th semester Country 2
6th semester Work placement country 2
7th semester Bachelor's thesis country 2
8th semester Country 2

A special feature of the German-French programme is that at present all participating students benefit from a scholarship from the “German French University” (mobility award).

After four years of successful study, the following degrees are awarded:

  • Bachelor of Science in International Management (ESB Business School)
  • Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Européennes de Management (CESEM)

Students with a higher than average level of academic achievement and at least 9 months’ professional experience can take an extra semester of studies at a top class ECTS partner school in a third country in the third or sixth semester, instead of taking an internship in Germany.

German-French higher education institution

The German-French course of studies which ESB Business School in Reutlingen and CESEM in Reims organised jointly is recognised and supported by the German-French higher education institution.
