Isabel Glaser

"I want to understand as much as possible the happenings in the world in order to be able to take responsable and sustainable decisions." - This was the main statement in my motivation letter when I (Hi! I am Isabel Glaser.) applied in 2004 to the ESB Reutlingen for the German-Mexican link. Today, shortly before finishing my career, I feel ironically that I know less than ever before. So "mission unaccomplished"? Not at all! The IPBS-dual-degree programme "International Management" excels in delivering insight in all the important aspects of business life and even more relevant: it excels in teaching team spirit, intercultural comprehension and encourages a quick apprehension which makes you "suitable" for solving distinct types of problems in different places, circunstances and environments.
So far, I could apply those abilities in three internships: Deutsche Bank (Loan Exposure Management; Frankfurt), Prompex (State Export Commission; Lima/Peru) and GTZ (Programme of Sustainable Rural Development; Lima/Peru) and I plan to work in the field of development cooperation in the future. As you can see: The IPBS double-degree programme offers you a broad range of opportunities, and no, it probably does not give you all the answers to you questions but it makes you be persistent and look for creative solutions.
