Applicants' FAQs

Is the programme accredited?

The MBA programme in International Management has been accredited by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) since 2003. FIBAA follows the guidelines of the European Quality Link (EQUAL) for Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes. Further information can be found under: www.fibaa.de

I have completed undergraduate studies in Business Administration. Should I apply?

Our MBA programme is NOT primarily designed for Business graduates. Much of the content of the programme will not be new to you, and will not add any real value. Please review the contents of our programme again, bearing this in mind. It is probably more appropriate for you to look for a postgraduate course designed for Business graduates.

Is it possible to have credits gained in my undergraduate studies recognised in Reutlingen?

Periods of study and examinations passed in other graduate programmes can be recognised, provided that equivalence is assured.

Does the MBA serve as a qualification for Ph.D. studies?

In principle, yes. You should, however, consider whether it is useful to first complete an MBA programme, which covers an extensive range of topics, and then to do a doctorate, which aims at a more intensive specialised qualification. German Fachhochschulen do not award doctorates.

I studied at a German "Verwaltungsakademie". Does this qualify me for the MBA programme?

Unfortunately, it does not. Admission requires a degree from a University, German Fachhochschule, or a Berufsakademie in Baden-Württemberg.
