You have decided to apply for the International Operations and Logistics Management Bachelor’s degree programme? The following steps are necessary for the application and admissions process.

1.Read the admission requirements for the degree programme carefully.

Admission requirements

  • General or subject-related university entrance qualification, entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or other equivalent German or foreign university entrance qualification.
  • Good English language skills (level of competence at least B2 according to the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages“ of the European Council – CEFR) confirmed by the English grade or by a certificate (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate).
  • Foreign applicants with a university entrance qualification obtained abroad have to submit their certificates punctually prior to their application to the preparatory college (Studienkolleg) in Konstanz for examination and conversion of grades. Please note the deadlines of the preparatory college in Konstanz.
  • Further, they have to provide evidence of their German language skills C1 with the application (e.g. TestDaF 14 or DSH 2). 

German applicants or applicants with equal status to German applicants can use the following options to gain bonus points and thus increase their chances of receiving a place of study:

  • By taking the selection test
  • By submitting evidence of additional qualifications such as vocational training, internships, especially good grades in mathematics, course-relevant extended stays abroad

With this bonus system you can improve your final grade significantly and thus increase your chances of receiving a place of study considerably.

2.Register for the Assessment Test (Auswahltest) for the International Operations and Logistics Management degree programme.

The assessment test is a written test and provides information on your individual subject-related skills and your motivation for the course of study. Participation in the assessment test is expected.

With this test you can improve your chances of gaining admission to the course; a negative effect on your chances is not possible. The assessment test is a written test and lasts 2.5 hours.

The assessment test for applicants for the summer semester 2020 takes place on the campus in Reutlingen (Aula) on 11 January 2020

The registration begins at 1.45 pm. The assessment test starts at 2 pm.

You may register from 01 October 2019.

Registration deadline for participating in the assessment test for the summer semester 2020 is 8 January 2020.

Please register for the assessment test by sending an email to with the following details

  • First name and surname,
  • Road, Zip-code, City
  • Email address,
  • Date of birth,
  • Gender,
  • Degree programme (abbreviation: IOLM)

Please bring your identity card or passport and a pen (not a pencil) with you to the assessment test. 

You will be able to access your results via the online application portal of Reutlingen University. The result remains valid for up to one year. If you do not wish to use it for the coming application deadline but for a later application within this period of one year, please give us explicit notification of this. It will not be automatically taken into account in the event of a subsequent application or reapplication.

Step 1: Registering at Reutlingen University

The application process for the bachelor degree programmes at Reutlingen University is divided into several steps. Please follow the steps at Reutlingen University.

Step 2: Applying to Reutlingen University

Once you have registered, you can apply for the offered degree programmes. Please log in at the portal using the access data you received after registering with Reutlingen University. An assistant will guide you through the application process. All mandatory information is marked by an asterisk (*). You will receive help with individual input boxes by clicking on the “Info“ icon. If you still have technical or specialist questions, contact the places indicated under “Help and Support”. You can interrupt the application process for degree programmes at any time and continue later if for instance you need to look up or check any information. Previously entered information will remain unchanged. In addition to entering your  degree programme of choice, the application also includes information about your university entrance qualification and any information related to services rendered, vocational training or other applications, for example for exceptional hardship. You will receive information about this at the local student advisory service. By pressing the checklist button you can check all the information you have entered.

Step 3: Sending your documents to Reutlingen University

Print out the written version of your application via “letter and requested documents“. There you will also find details about whether you have to submit other documents in writing. Send the written and signed application to the address indicated in “letter” (see Point 4).

4.Send your application with all the documents by post and in due time to Reutlingen University.

When you have completed the online application form, you will receive your so called request for admission and a list of the supporting documents you must enclose your application. Further, you should enclose the questionnaire on your additional qualifications together with the relevant supporting documents.

5.Upon confirmation of admission, accept the offered place of study

To do so return the signed application form for registration together with the required documents and transfer the semester fees
