You have decided to apply for the Production Management Bachelor’s degree programme? The following steps are necessary for the application and admissions process.

1.Please read the admission requirements for the degree programme carefully.

Admission requirements

  • General or subject related university entrance qualification, or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, or another equivalent university entrance qualification.
  • Foreign applicants with a university entrance qualification obtained abroad are required to submit their certificate in good time before their application to the Studienkolleg - Center for International Students in Konstanz for examination and conversion of grades and also provide proof with their application of their proficiency in German. 
    Please note the deadlines of Studienkolleg Konstanz.

German applicants or applicants with equal status to German applicants can use the following options to gain bonus points and thus increase their chances of receiving a place of study:

  • By taking the selection test

With this bonus system you can improve your final grade significantly and thus increase your chances of receiving a place of study considerably.

2.Register for the Assessment Test of the Production Management degree programme.

The assessment test is a written test and provides information on your individual subject-related skills and your motivation for the course of study. Participation in the assessment test is expected.

With this test you can improve your chances of gaining admission to the course; a negative effect on your chances is not possible. The assessment test lasts 2.5 hours. 

The assessment test for applicants for the winter semester 2019/20 takes place on the campus in Reutlingen (aula) on 13 July 2019. 

The registration begins at 1.45 pm. The assessment test starts at 2 pm.

Registrations are possible from 1 April 2019.

The registration deadline for participation in the assessment test for the winter semester 2019/20 is 10 July 2019

Please register for the assessment test by sending an email to Bsc.pm@dont-want-spam.reutlingen-university.de with the following details

  • First name and surname, 
  • Address,
  • Email address,
  • Date of birth,
  • Gender,
  • Degree programme (abbreviation: PM)

Please bring your identity card or passport and a pen (not a pencil) with you to the assessment test.

You will be able to access your results via the online application portal of Reutlingen University. The result remains valid for up to one year. If you do not wish to use it for the coming application deadline but for a later application within this period of one year, please give us explicit notification of this. It will not be automatically taken into account in the event of a subsequent application or reapplication.

3.Apply online via the nationwide dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV) from hochschulstart.de and after that at Reutlingen University.

Step 1: Registering at hochschulstart.de

There you will receive your applicant identification number (BID) and the corresponding application authorisation number (BAN). Afterwards you will have to indicate your BID and BAN in your application.

Step 2: Registering at Reutlingen University

The application process for the bachelor degree programmes at Reutlingen University is divided into several steps. Please follow the steps at Reutlingen University.

Step 3: Applying to Reutlingen University

Once you have registered, you can apply for the offered degree programmes. Please log in at the portal using the access data you received after registering with Reutlingen University. An assistant will guide you through the application process. All mandatory information is marked by an asterisk (*). You will receive help with individual input boxes by clicking on the “Info“ icon. If you still have technical or specialist questions, contact the places indicated under “Help and Support”. You can interrupt the application process for degree programmes at any time and continue later if for instance you need to look up or check any information. Previously entered information will remain unchanged. In addition to entering your  degree programme of choice, the application also includes information about your university entrance qualification and any information related to services rendered, vocational training or other applications, for example for exceptional hardship. You will receive information about this at the local student advisory service. By pressing the checklist button you can check all the information you have entered.

Step 4: Sending your documents to Reutlingen University

Print out the written version of your application via “letter and requested documents“. There you will also find details about whether you have to submit other documents in writing. Send the written and signed application to the address indicated in “letter” (see Point 4).

4.Send your application with all documents in due time by post to Reutlingen University.

When you have filled in the online application, you will receive a so called application for admission and a list of the supporting documents you must enclose with your application.

Print out your application for admission, sign it and send it together with all required supporting documents in due time by post to:

The application must be received at the University by these dates, the date of posting is not applicable!

Applications for summer semester (March - August): January 15
Applications for winter semester (September - February): July 15

5.If you are granted admission tot he study program, accept the offered place of study.

To do so return the signed application form for registration together with the required documents and transfer the semester fees
