You have chosen the European Management Studies Master's programme and would now like to apply? The following steps are necessary to do so:

1.Read the admission requirements for the study programme carefully.

Admission requirements

  • General or subject-related university entrance qualification
  • First degree with at least 180 ECTS (generally at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) 

    The degree programme is in principle available to graduates from all disciplines but is primarily designed for non-economists. Skills in the field of management and business administration are not a requirement.

    Degrees from foreign universities must be recognised in Germany (e.g. by the Preparatory College (Studienkolleg) in Konstanz). Please note the deadlines of Studienkolleg Konstanz.
  • A total of at least six months practical experience
    The six months may have been divided into shorter periods
  • Very good German, English and French language skills, corresponding to the B2 level according to the European Framework of Reference.  

2.Fill in the online application form of Reutlingen University.

3.Send your application with all supporting documents in due time by post to Reutlingen University.

Check list for your application:

  • Application for admission (you will receive this after you have sent the online application of Reutlingen University). Print out and sign your application for admission.
  • (certified) copy of your university entrance qualification or your school-leaving-certificate (e.g. A-levels, university entrance qualification)
    If you do not enclose a certified copy, you will need to submit it later when registering.
  • (certified) copy of your first degree certificate (e.g. diploma/bachelor)
    If you do not enclose a certified copy, you will need to submit it later when registering.
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Deregistration certificate (only for applicants with a Bachelor's degree of a German university)
  • Applicants with a degree from a foreign university:
    If you have a degree from a foreign university, you will need to apply for a recognition of certificates at the Studienkolleg (preparatory college for foreign students). There you will be informed whether you are eligible for admission to a university in Baden-Württemberg. 

When you have filled in the online application form, you will receive a so called application for admission and a list of the supporting documents you must enclose with your application.

Print and sign your application for admission and send it together with all the required supporting documents in due time by post to:

4.Upon invitation attend the selection interview.

All applicants who meet the basic requirements for admission are invited by email to attend a selection interview.

 If you cannot keep or have to postpone the appointment, please notify us as soon as possible.

The selection interview takes place at ESB Business School in Reutlingen immediately after expiry of the application deadline. The approx. half-hour interview with professors from the degree programme determines and assesses the aptitude, motivation and qualifications of the applicants.

5.If you receive admission to the University, accept the offered university place

Return the signed application for registration together with the required documents and transfer the semester fees.
