You have chosen the MSc Operations Management programme and would now like to apply? To do this the following steps are necessary.

1.Please read the admission requirements for the degree programme carefully.

Admission requirements

  • First degree programme completed at a university, a university of applied sciences or the (Baden-Württemberg) Cooperative State University with 210 ECTS in the areas of business administration or technology 
  • Final grade at least 2.5
  • Graduates of the following degree programmes qualify for admission: Engineering (mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, production engineering, or similar), Industrial engineering, Natural sciences, Business administration, Technical economics
  • Very good German and English language skills (no proof necessary)
  • An interest in the technical background of production or logistics, shown, for example, by internships or relevant subjects

…applicants with 180 ECTS:

You may also apply for admission to the degree programme. You are required to accomplish 30 extra ECTS points for study and examination achievements before starting the course of study as laid down in the “Study and Examinations Regulations”. The selection of modules to be taken is based on the Bachelor’s degree and is agreed with the programme director of the degree programme in a Learning Agreement.  We coordinate with you the subjects to be taken, which relate to your undergraduate studies and are intended to prepare you as a business administration graduate for the engineering area and as an engineering graduate for the business administration area. Please talk to us about this so that we can clarify the details on an individual basis.    

…applicants who received their Bachelor’s degree at a foreign university
To see if your foreign degree qualifies you for a Master’s course please contact the Preparatory College (Studienkolleg) in Konstanz. There you will be informed free of charge whether you can receive admission to a university in Baden-Württemberg or which examinations you must pass beforehand. On the homepage you will also find the application form for recognition of certificates.

…foreign applicants
Your are required to have passed a German test, e.g.:

  • DSH  “Deutsch Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang“ (German Language Examination for University Entrance) -  DSH2
  • TestDAF “Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache“ (Test German as a Foreign Language) – at least 14 points
  • Or equivalent proof of language proficiency

You will find all information on the mentioned recognised proofs of language proficiency at the Studienkolleg Konstanz.

3.Fill in the questionnaire on the selection procedure

4.Please note the application deadlines for the programme MSc Poerations Management

The complete application process is online. You will have to hand in further documents and the signed matriculation form at the time of the actual matriculation.

5.If invited, take part in the selection interviews.

After expiry of the application deadlines we invite the 90 most promising applicants to selection interviews. These take place in the first two weeks after the application deadline at ESB Business School.

After the selection interviews we prepare a ranking list and Reutlingen University announces the admissions for the 30 best applicants.

6.If you receive admission to the University, accept the offered university place.

To do this send the signed notice of admission by post and transfer the semester fees.

The decision on the admission to study is based on the following criteria:

The basis of the assessment of your application is the final grade you received for your Bachelor’s degree. You can improve this by means of so called bonuses.
