BSc Production Management and BSc International Operations and Logistics Management

Every year ESB Business School welcomes over 80 exchange students from our partner universities all over the world to the two International Operations Management study programmes. These Operations Management programmes prepare you for a career at the interface between business and technology. We welcome you to spend a part of your studies in one of our programmes at ESB Business School.

Applying for an exchange semester in International Operations and Logistics Management or Production Management

If you are studying at one of our partner universities, please follow the nomination and application process as listed below:

Step A
First of all, you have to be nominated as an exchange student to ESB Business School
by your home university. In order to be nominated and to find out more about your
internal application and selection process, please contact the exchange programme
coordinator at your home university.

The nomination deadlines are as follows:
1st of May for the winter semester (starting in September/October)
1st of November for the summer semester (starting in March)


Step B
Once you have been nominated, please make sure you complete the following steps:

  1. You will receive an email from your exchange coordinator at Reutlingen University
    including a link for our online application system MoveON.
  2. Please register in MoveON and complete the online application form. Please make
    sure that you fill in all compulsory fields. Incomplete applications cannot be processed
    further.
    The following documents have to be uploaded during the online application process:
  • A CV (in German or English)
  • Your latest transcript of records
  • A certificate of enrolment (in German or English): confirmation of your home university that you are enrolled at your home university during your exchange period incl. the study programme in which you are enrolled
  • A proof of health insurance: you need to hand in a document showing that you have a valid health insurance for your study abroad period in Germany. Please note: German universities can only accept private health insurances if they include unlimited coverage for the costs of medical treatments (both for ambulant and for hospital treatments)!! If this is not the case you will need to purchase a German health insurance for your study abroad period.Non-EU citizens should upload a certificate or a copy of the card of their health insurance provider
    EU citizens may hand in a copy of their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
  • A copy of your passport
  • A passport picture (preferably 300x400 pixels)
  1. Applications deadlines:
    15th of May for the winter semester (starting in September/ October)
    15th of November for the summer semester (starting in March)

    Once your application has been completed and accepted, your exchange coordinator will provide you with additional information about housing, available courses, important dates, etc. and send you a letter of acceptance in case you need to apply for a Visa.

 

 

Course selection

Click here in order to find the list of courses and the additional courses offered in the upcoming semester. If necessary, your exchange coordinator will provide you with additional information.
Please discuss your course selection with your coordinator at your home university: How many courses do you have to attend, what are the requirements these courses have to meet, how many credit points should you obtain, etc.?
After having clarified these issues with your home university, please send your preliminary course selection to your exchange coordinator before 15th of January for the summer semester and 15th of July for the winter semester.

Welcome Meeting and Buddy Programme

In order to smoothen your start at Reutlingen University, we offer different activities and services.

Prior to your arrival, one of our buddy students from the Students4Students initiative will contact you. Your buddy will help you with your arrival at Reutlingen University and will give you a first orientation on campus.

Moreover, our team will invite you to a Welcome Meeting. During this meeting, you will meet your Exchange Programme Coordinators, you will get to know our institution and your fellow exchange students, and we will go through final details of your enrolment process and course selection.
