Visiting Lecturers Programme

Under the international visiting lecturers programme, ESB Business School regularly invites international academics and industry representatives to offer seminars, workshops and classes. This gives students the opportunity to gain insight into current international developments in the economy and economic sciences and to expand their understanding of current economic topics in a global context. Furthermore, the students expand their intercultural skills and build up an international network.

Academics and company representatives from all over the world with experience in international business and operations management are cordially invited to teach classes in our Bachelor, Master and MBA programmes. As a visiting lecturer at ESB Business School you will experience and shape our international atmosphere.

Overview of the study programmes at ESB Business School

We are looking for international lecturers for the entire spectrum of economic fields, such as

  • Marketing & Strategy,
  • Finances & Accounting,
  • Human Resources Management & Organisation,
  • Business Simulation,

as well as in the field of

  • Logistics and Operations Management.

Visiting lecturers come either as “visiting lecturers” or “guest lecturers” to ESB Business School:

  • A visiting lecturer is responsible for a complete course or a part of a course and also grades seminar papers. The lectureship should cover at least 2 credit points (ECTS).
  • Coming to Reutlingen as a guest lecturer is a good opportunity to get to know ESB Business School. Visits by guest lecturers often lead to cooperations. Similar to visiting lecturers, guest lecturers also gives seminars or workshops though the number of teaching hours is lower. Neither do guest lecturers do any grading.

We invite you to come and do research with us

Great importance is attached to application-oriented research and the combination of research and teaching at ESB Business School. Guest lecturers are invited to participate in national and international research projects

Remuneration and reimbursement of expenses

As the tasks involved and the type of contract are subject to different regulations, a guest lecturer’s remuneration is discussed individually.

If your home university is in possession of an Erasmus Charta for Higher Education (ECHE), your guest lectureship can be funded via the ERASMUS+ programme. The teaching assignment must comprise at least eight teaching hours and may last a maximum of six weeks. The programme provides reimbursement of travelling expenses in accordance with EU Distance Calculator as well as the reimbursement of subsistence expenses according to the target countries. Please ask the International Office at your home institution.
