During the twelfth international block seminar week of the Bachelor`s programme International Business (IB) faces from many different countries were to be seen at ESB Business School. From the 1st until the 5th April guest lecturers Maria Haukka from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland, Prof. Dr. Konstantin Kostin from Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics in Russia, and Joe Daly from Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland gave seminars in the electives for 5th semester students.

In addition to the international experience IB students gain during their study or internship abroad, the block seminar week is an excellent opportunity to bring internationalisation to the campus. Students gain valuable, fresh insight into current international developments in education and business, inspiring an international thought-provoking environment.

Whilst Joe Daly gave IB students new input through lectures and interactive case studies in the field of “Business Marketing and Professional Selling”, Konstantin Kostin lectured about up-to-date topics in the area of “Portfolio Management”. Maria Haukka enhanced the students’ knowledge in the subject “Leadership”.

The block seminar week is a highlight of the semester. In addition to teaching, the guest lecturers also have the opportunity to get to know the region and the Swabian cuisine. This time they spent one evening in Stuttgart as well.

The next block seminar week will take place in October 2019.
