CHE University Ranking 2023 – Business Administration as well as Business Engineering

ESB Business School receives excellent results

by Alfred Max

The CHE University Ranking 2023 pools student opinions and facts about teaching and research. ESB Business School performed particularly well in the subjects of business administration and business and engineering in many areas.

Business administration

Business administration students at ESB Business School gave top ratings to the supervision provided by lecturers, the support for studying abroad and, above all, the practical orientation in teaching.  The business administration students also gave top ratings to the wide range of career guidance and career entry opportunities. “The subjects and content taught at ESB are extremely relevant”, there are “very good teachers” and a “very good network and opportunities enter into direct contact with companies”, the students praised. The many student initiatives that make up the ‘ESB Spirit’ were also very well received: “The networking between students at ESB is fantastic and is also very well supported by ESB”. Students on the BSc International Business and BSc International Management Double Degree programmes were surveyed. In the ‘facts about teaching and research’ in business administration at ESB Business School, the CHE Ranking highlighted, among other things, the ‘support at ESB at the beginning of studies’.

Business engineering

In addition to the practical orientation in teaching, the students in business engineering at ESB Business School particularly appreciated the facilities in the laboratories and the practical phase as well as the supervision by lecturers: "There is a family atmosphere and the lecturers are absolute professionals in their subjects." Students on the BSc Internationales Wirtschaftsingeneiurwesen Operations and BSc Wirtschaftsingeneiurwesen - Sustainable Productions and Business programmes were surveyed. In the CHE Ranking, the ‘facts about teaching and research’ for the business engineering programme at ESB Business School included top results for ‘support at the beginning of studies’ and ‘contact to professional practice’ in both the bachelor’s and master’s programmes.

Professor Dr Christoph Binder, Dean of ESB Business School and Dean of Studies Professor Dr Julia Brüggemann were delighted with the excellent ratings: ‘The CHE Ranking 2023 shows that business administration students and future business engineers at ESB Business School are very well supported from the very beginning and in practice-oriented lectures obtain precisely the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in their careers both in Germany and abroad.”
