German-Dutch field lab: Artificial Intelligence for Digital Twins (AI4DT)

“Artificial Intelligence for Digital Twins“ (AI4DT) is the joint research network linking the Dutch region of Noord-Brabant and Baden-Württemberg. The focus of the initiative is the cross-border networking of companies and research institutions, the support of small and medium-sized enterprises in opening up markets and the transfer into application of solutions and knowledge in the areas of smart industries, digital twins, artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0.

The aim is to identify digitisation potential in companies, share knowledge, initiate corporate partnerships and realise new solutions in implementation projects. This will be achieved through joint B2B networking events, professional trainings, discussions, seminars and on-site visits beginning in 2021. B2B matchmaking will take place virtually on the AI4DT-Platform in joint events or in individual discussions (1:1 meetings). In addition, such meetings will also be possible on site in the field labs of Werk 150, the factory on the campus of ESB Business School, and on the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven.

The establishment and operation of the AI4DT network is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Employment and Housing of the State of Baden-Württemberg and the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant as well as the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Reutlingen Centre for Industry 4.0 at Reutlingen University, the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation, IPA and the Steinbeis Innovation Centre also participate in the network. Also involved are  regional networks such as the Dutch  Smart Industry NL and Brainport Industries as well as the Alliance Industry 4.0 Baden-Württemberg and advisory centres such as the Steinbeis Europa Centre.

Participation is free of charge. Let’s twin together!
