Johanna Bath takes up her professorship in the summer semester 2018

Johanna Bath has joined the team of professors in business engineering. She will cover the subjects business engineering and strategy as well as corporate finance, teaching in the Master’s degree programme Operations Management as well as in the Bachelor degree programmes  International Operations and Logistics Management and Production Management.

Professor Bath studied business engineering at Furtwangen University until 2007. After graduating she joined a consulting company for project and process management. In 2009 Professor Bath changed to Altran, an international engineering consulting company. There she took on a team leader role and in this position gained three years of international management experience.   

The next step in her career in 2011 took Professor Bath to Daimler AG in Stuttgart. She took on a management position in controlling, specialising in the controlling of development costs and working on projects in different cost optimisation programmes. In 2015 she became head of department in development and headed a staff unit supporting the member of the board responsible for development. Her tasks included firstly governance topics such as integrity, compliance, process management and law. Secondly she was concerned with the strategy of development with respect to aspects of core competency and internationalisation.  

Johanna Bath taught at the Universities of Furtwangen and Esslingen before being appointed professor at ESB Business School at Reutlingen University in the summer semester in 2018.
