"Not only for you, but also for us this day is something special. After the summer holidays, the campus will be filled with life again today," enthused Prof. Dr. Andreas Taschner, Dean of ESB Business School.

At ESB Business School, around 170 freshmen are starting their first term today. For the BSc International Business (IB) and International Management Double Degree (IMX), the winter semester starts a little earlier than in the other study programmes at Reutlingen University, because IB and IMX adapt to the semester periods of their international partner universities.

"You have chosen a very demanding degree programme. At the same time, this programme opens up tremendous opportunities for you", Prof. Harald Dallmann, Vice President of Reutlingen University, adressed the students.

Both Dallmann and Taschner assured: Despite hard work, the students can also expect a lot of fun during their time at Reutlingen University.

During the semester opening event, Prof. Dr. Julia Brüggemann, Bachelor International Management Double Degree, and Prof. Dr. Martin Mocker, Bachelor International Business, also welcomed the freshmen.

Representatives of the Student Network introduced themselves and their activities. During a campus tour, the newcomers then had the opportunity to get to know the university better and get into contact with each other.

The Bachelor International Management Double Degree also welcomes 129 fifth-semester students at Reutlingen University today. They completed the first part of their double degree programme at a partner university in China, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain or the USA.

The atmosphere in the Bachelor International Business is also very international: The freshman students come from 28 countries.
