Impressions from the 2019 Company Forum

During the two-day career fair companies and students exchanged information about internships, theses and direct job entry.

"A warm welcome to our corporate partners. As a former student of ESB Business School, I am well aware of the privilege and opportunities the Company Forum offers students“, said Dean Professor Christoph, greeting the 30 company representatives and ESB students.

For two days the company representatives presented themselves on their stands in the assembly hall. Students had the opportunity to talk directly to partner companies and to establish contacts for their later working life. In addition to the fair itself, company presentations provided a deeper insight into company activities. At job interviews arranged beforehand, students and companies also got the chance to gain an impression of each other.

Karolin Hellerling, Strategic Development Specialist at Webasto, knows both perspectives: “I did my master’s degree at ESB Business School and know from my own experience how useful events like this are for students. Talking to people at the fair creates a network which opens doors to professional life. I am pleased that my employer and ESB cooperate as partners and that I can be here today at my old university”.

Such an event needs many helping hands. In accordance with tradition a student organisation team together with Ms Fecker from the Career Center planned and coordinated the event for months in advance. Philipp Heinzelman, Verena Reis, Natalie Knabe, Wiona Slawik and more than 100 other helpers took on tasks such as controlling, contacting companies, creating the fair app and the production of information leaflets for companies and students. “Working in the organisation team is really exciting and a great opportunity to get involved outside of lectures and to gain practical experience“, said Verena Reis, summing up her impressions.
