Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences performs outstandingly in the recently published university ranking by the WirtschaftsWoche newspaper, with ESB Business School gaining its first place among German universities for applied sciences in the field of business administration and sixth place for business engineering. At the School of Informatics, business information technology also scores an excellent third place.

The personnel service provider Universum Global’s current university ranking, published exclusively in the WirtschaftsWoche newspaper, interviewed 590 recruitment managers from German companies. Specific universities were named whose graduates were considered to be especially competent. The Universum Global ranking is subdivided into different disciplines and distinguishes between universities and universities of applied sciences.

"We are very pleased with the excellent results at Reutlingen University in the current WirtschaftsWoche ranking. The results undoubtedly confirm the success behind our practice-oriented teaching concept. They are also a positive signal to our graduates that they have excellent career prospects, even in such challenging times," states Prof. Dr. Harald Dallmann, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Reutlingen University.

In the field of business administration, 17.2 percent of personnel managers interviewed stated that graduates of ESB Business School at Reutlingen University best met their expectations. ESB can therefore impressively boast its first place among German universities for applied sciences, being almost three percent ahead of the runner-up. "Practical application and innovation are the guiding principles of ESB Business School. We are very proud that our graduates have once again been able to hold their own in the WirtschaftsWoche ranking", expresses Prof. Dr. Christoph Binder, Dean of ESB Business School.

ESB's business engineers also enjoy an excellent reputation among personnel managers. This year they have achieved a very good sixth place. Prof. Dr. Christoph Binder asserts: "We are pleased to be able to prepare our students in the best possible way for their professional future and to be able to accompany and support them on their continuing personal and career pathways.”

Business information technology at Reutlingen University has also repeatedly achieved excellent results and occupies an admirable third place among German universities for applied sciences.
