Outstanding employability
Those who are ‘employable’ quickly acquire professional skills, respond flexibly to changes and are characterised by a high level of motivation. The fact that ESB Business School students demonstrate ‘outstanding employability’ was also confirmed by the latest edition of the Universum Career Test. ESB received the ‘Certificate of Recognition’ in the employability category, making it one of the six universities in Germany to be certified by the employer branding agency Universum.
What makes the ESB Business School students tick? They are cosmopolitan globetrotters with a strong international focus, performance-oriented go-getters who want to achieve a lot and dynamic ground breakers who provide innovation. They see ESB as a starting point for their international careers, value the good relationships with employers and the focus on professional and personal development. This is also reflected in the respondents’ assessment of the study programmes. For example, ESB is well above the average of all ranked universities in the areas of options abroad, high-quality programmes and the staff-student ratio.
It is no coincidence that ESB achieves top scores in the area of employability: four out of five students see ESB as a good reference for their future careers, and almost as many appreciate the good relationships with employers and the opportunity to interact with them during their studies. The transition to working life is therefore smooth for students and the change from study to job is seamless. This is also due to ESB’s comprehensive range of career services. While only around 60% of students at other colleges and universities make use of more than one or more career services, the figure at ESB Business School is 91% for business administration and 73% for business engineering. The two campus career fairs IBF (International Business Fair) and Fifo (Company Forum) are particularly popular.
Around four out of five students would choose to study at ESB Business School again at any time – this also puts the faculty well above the average of all German universities in the ranking.
