You have decided to apply for the MSc Global Management and Digital Competencies? The following steps are necessary for the application and admission process.

1.Please read the following admission requirements for the degree programme carefully.

Admission requirements

  • First degree completed with 210 (3.5 years) or 180 (3 years) ECTS credits and a grade of at least 2.5 (German grading system) (2.3 for Canadian track).
    Applicants with 180 ECTS credits have to complete an integrated six-month internship. Relevant professional experience after the first degree may be pre-accredited in lieu.
    Graduates from the following disciplines may apply: Business management or a related field. Furthermore, graduates from non-business degree programmes may also apply provided they have taken at least 4 courses in business management, including two from the quantitative field (e.g. accountancy, finance management, economics, statistics, logistics).
  • Very good English language skills (TOEFL - minimum of 88 ibt (min 21 speaking & writing), IELTS minimum 6.5 with minimum 6/unit), Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTEA 60 (min 50 in each component), Cambridge First (min. 175), Cambridge Advanced or Cambridge Proficiency). Please note that TOEFL or IELTS scores are only valid for 2 years after the test date and your latest score is considered! Please note that for tracks with Goodman School of Business, Canada, only non-native English-speaking applicants who have completed at least 3 years of their bachelor studies in an English-speaking country are exempt from doing a language test. For all other tracks, applicants are exempt from doing one of the above stated English language tests if they have completed their entire studies in English or completed at least 50% of their bachelor programme in an English-speaking country. Proof must be provided.
  • Please note that your language certificates can be handed in later (if not yet available). In this case, your acceptance to the programme is conditional on the fulfillment of our minimum requirements. Language certificates must reach us by the following dates (enrolment deadlines).

Information about English testsDue to the current Covid-19 crisis, many language testing locations are currently closed until further notice. However, we have learned that TOEFL is offering a Home Edition test which could be an acceptable option for your application to the MSc Global Management & Digital Competencies programme. 2.Complete the online application form.

Apply via the degree programme’s website

Complete the application form, upload the following documents as pdfs and pay the €50 application fee:

  • Letter of motivation (250 to 750 words)
  • Degree certificate and final transcripts or provisional transcripts if not yet graduated
  • Results of your English language tests (these can be sent later if not yet completed)
  • 1 academic reference
  • 1 professional reference

The admissions committee, composed of people from the two schools involved in your track choice, will review your completed online application. Generally, within two weeks you will receive a Study Place Offer or rejection by email. Study Place Offers will be conditional if you have not finished your studies at the time of application or are still waiting on your English language test results. Your Study Place Offer will contain all of the relevant terms and conditions.
