Alumni of the MSc International Management meet online

By Niamh O'Mahony

Usually in Reutlingen, this time in the world wide web: As a sign of the times, the annual MIM Alumni Event did not take place on campus, but as a virtual event this year.

The evening was expertly organised and moderated by Frederik Haas of the MIM Class 18/19 (D-USA) and consisted of company presentations from six alumni of the programme who presented their companies and the opportunities and career paths they offer to graduates. The companies represented were: Bosch (Michael Oberdorfer, D-MX 15/16, Project Manager Autonomous Driving); Zalando (Tim Seelmann, D-MX 14/15, Teamlead Key Account Management Partner Program Men/Speciality); Deloitte (Tatiana Kunsmann, D-USA 18/19, Senior Consultant; Jannic Binder, D-USA 18/19, Consultant); Detecon (Luis Obermeier, D-USA 18/19, Management Consultant); Plug & Play Tech Center (Timo Linnemann, Ventures Associate, D-MX 18/19).

Additionally, Christian Preiss (D-MX 2019, Sales & Business Development Management Trainee, Philipps) and Anna-Lena Hofsäß (D-MX 18/19, Risk Manager, Porsche) provided the current MIM class with hints and tips about finding companies to write the master thesis with and on applying for jobs in general.

The evening included networking opportunities using Zoom’s breakout group function. The next alumni event will be in 2022 with the introduction of the new MSc Global Management & Digital Competencies (new MIM programme). The event will become a networking event for the graduates of both programmes.
