You have chosen the International Management Part-Time MBA programme and would now like to apply? The following steps are necessary to do so.

Important note: Due to covid-19, there may be changes in deadlines or in the selection procedures in 2021. Please check our website regularly for the latest information.

Currently, the following deadlines apply for the submission of documents:

For the summer semester 2021: 15 February 2021
For the winter semester 2021/2022:15 August 2021

1.Important hints before your application

You have selected the Part-Time MBA Degree Programme in International Management and would now like to apply?  There are a few things you need to prepare for the application for enrolment. All documents must be submitted IN FULL VIA THE UNIVERSITY PORTAL AND IN THE ORIGINAL AND SIGNED BY THE ENROLMENT DEADLINE. This is a cut-off period, i.e. the postmark does not count. Therefore, apply early!

In addition to the application for enrolment, the following supporting documents are required:

2.Read the registration requirements for the study programme carefully.

Registration requirements:

  • General or subject related university entrance qualification 
    Completed university degree (generally at least a bachelor or equivalent degree) 
    Graduates from foreign universities can be accepted if their degree is recognised by the Studienkolleg Konstanz (preparatory college). (Information of the Studienkolleg Konstanz on foreign university entrance qualifications). Please observe the deadlines of the Studienkolleg Konstanz 
    The degree programme is in principle open to graduates in all subjects. However, an MBA is usually designed primarily for non-economists: particularly graduates in technical or natural science subjects such as engineers, computer scientists, physicians, linguists and humanists as well as lawyers are the priority target group of the degree programme.)

  • At least two years‘ professional experience after completing the first degree, preferably work in a company with technical or business character or equivalent professional experience 

  • Very good German and English language skills 
    The language requirements as well as the valid supporting documents are governed by the languages statutes of Reutlingen University. For English you need to provide evidence of at least B2 level. Evidence of sufficient language skills in German is to be demonstrated, for example, by the TestDAF with at least 14 points, or by the DSH2 test. 
        

Applicants are deemed particularly suitable if they have already had sufficient professional experience to align their career towards extensive management skills. The course is aimed at managers and high potentials who are operating or wish to operate in international business fields. 

We expect the applicants to have a clear career concept and to be highly motivated. 
 

3.Fill in the online registration form for the aptitude test.

By completing the questionnaire early, you open up a time window for yourself and us for any queries and/or submitting additional documents. After submitting the questionnaire we will contact you promptly to arrange an appointment for the aptitude test, provided you meet the admission requirements.

4.Participation in the aptitude test

In order to be able to enrol in the degree programme, students must have passed an aptitude test.

The half-hour aptitude test takes place in the context of an interview with professors of the degree programme.
Appointments for an aptitude test are possible up to 2 weeks before the end of the enrolment period. Please contact us in this regard.

You will receive written confirmation of whether you have passed the aptitude test within 14 days.

5.Use the online form for enrolment at Reutlingen University.

Although the word “application“ is used in the link portal, these steps lead directly to the application for registration. This can only be fully completed if you have passed the aptitude test (see Point 3) and have uploaded appropriate evidence of this.

6.Complete your application and send the application for enrolment with all the documents in due time by post to Reutlingen University.

Please note that after completing the online application for enrolment you can no longer make any changes via the portal to the application for enrolment. For this reason do not reject the study place online in order to make any corrections but contact the admissions and enrolment office of the university.

After completing the online application print your application for enrolment, sign and send it together with all the required supporting documents in due time by post to:

Registration deadlines:
Apply early! Due to the situation caused by the pandemic, deadlines for submitting application documents may be temporarily different from the deadlines set out in the selection criteria.
Submit your application and all required documents at the latest by the following dates.
For winter semester 2021/2022: 15 August 2021
Please note that due to the pandemic, there may be delays to language tests and in the case of higher education entrance qualifications from outside Germany. You should therefore get your application in in good time.

7.Payment of semester fees and submission of additional documents.

Once your application has been accepted and documents submitted you will receive a notification of fees and a list of any missing supporting documents . Please transfer the semester fees and send any further documents to the admissions office by the enrolment deadline at the latest (see point 5). The documents must have arrived at the university by these deadlines, the date of posting will not be taken as proof.
