Quality at top international level

ESB Business School reaccredited by AACSB.

Reutlingen University's ESB Business School has once again demonstrated its leading international position in the field of business studies. On 7 July 2025, AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) officially confirmed the reaccreditation of the faculty. ESB thus continues to belong to the exclusive group of business schools worldwide that meet the strict quality standards of the renowned accreditation organisation.

A team of experts from the AACSB had already visited ESB Business School in May as part of a comprehensive assessment on the Reutlingen campus. The experts particularly praised the school's cohesive external image, the high quality of its education and its international profile.

‘The renewed AACSB accreditation shows that ESB Business School is one of the leading business administration faculties in the international higher education sector,’ explains Prof Dr Markus Conrads, Dean of ESB Business School. ‘It creates trust, strengthens our international visibility and opens doors - whether for prospective students, for international partnerships or for our graduates starting their careers.’

Only around 1,000 business schools worldwide - which equals around six per cent of all business schools - carry the AACSB seal of approval. The accreditation covers all degree programmes and the entire research activities of ESB Business School. It is based on nine comprehensive quality standards that require, among other things, highly qualified teaching staff, excellent teaching, strong student commitment and innovative research.

"I am proud of our faculty and grateful for the commitment of everyone involved. This success is an important milestone and motivates us to consistently develop ESB Business School further as an internationally visible business school," says Dean Conrads.

ESB Business School is the business faculty of Reutlingen University. Around 1,500 students complete practical and internationally oriented degree programmes in the field of international business administration. The faculty maintains partnerships with over 110 universities worldwide and combines academic excellence with a strong practical orientation.
