The City

Breda is fantastic all year round for shopping, relaxing in the parks, enjoying the surrounding countryside, or taking a lovely stroll through the historic city. Your bicycle, which will be your favourite mode of transport, takes you from Avans to the city center in only 5 minutes.
The University
Avans University of Applied Sciences is located in Breda and ranked the best large university of applied sciences in the Netherlands for a number of years. All programmes are NVAO accredited. The International Business programme in Breda has been awarded an additional Fibaa Premium Seal. With more than 40 different nationalities the IB community is truly international. Taking a personal approach to our students is important. For this reason, all students have a mentor during their studies. We closely work with international companies in the Netherlands and abroad for student projects and internships.
