Professor Echelmeyer ist der Koordinator für “RobLog” (EU# 270350), einem EU-Projekt, welches Robotertechnologie entwickelt, um kognitiv und automatisiert Gegenstände aus Schiffscontainern zu entladen. Das Projekt wird in zwei Demonstranten resultieren: einem fortgeschrittenen Demonstranten, der mit einer tief-gesteuerten Hand ausgestattet ist, womit er heterogene Güter in Boxen und verzerrbare Formen entladen kann; und ein industrieller Demonstrant, der schwere sackförmige Güter bis zu 70 kg entladen kann.
